Named after the myth of El Dorado - the lost City of Gold -  Annie was inspired from the traje de luces, the iconic “suit of lights” worn by matadors in 18th-century Spain. Renowned for intricate gold work and commanding presence, the matador’s uniform was designed to catch and reflect the light of the arena.

This piece is richly adorned with intricate gold thread work that forms a lattice of embroidery. Jewel-like beadwork mirrors the ornate embellishment of traditional matador jackets, these multicoloured accents shimmer across the surface, bringing depth and movement to the design.

Crafted from Stretch Crepe de Chine for a flattering fit and designed to sit high on the waist with a high-cut leg to offer elegant coverage, the El Dorado Knickers are the perfect accompaniment to our El Dorado Dress.
