El Dorado Bolero

Named after the myth of El Dorado - the lost City of Gold -  Annie was inspired from the traje de luces, the iconic “suit of lights” worn by matadors in 18th-century Spain. Renowned for intricate gold work and commanding presence, the matador’s uniform was designed to catch and reflect the light of the arena.

This piece is crafted in rose pink stretch crepe de chine and richly adorned with intricate gold thread work that forms a lattice of embroidery, with denser placement through the shoulders and neckline. Jewel-like beadwork mirrors the ornate embellishment of traditional matador jackets, these multicoloured accents shimmer across the surface, bringing depth and movement to the design. Double-layered beaded fringing fall from the shoulder, adding movement and contrast to the structured base.

The El Dorado Bolero is designed to frame the body and is the perfect sculptural complement to the El Dorado Corset & Dress.
